CPU#0:Machine Check Exception
 

Hi,
While trying to install redhat7.2 on a P100MHZ(SCSI HDD) I get an error message similar to the following error message:

CPU#0:Machine Check Exception: 0x107000 (type 0x 9)

and it goes on and on but the address changes continuously.

Redhat 6.2 installs with no problems and Mandrake8.1 has got the same problem as redhat 7.2(I guess it is the kernel ???)

I am just a poor university student trying to learn more about Linux and networking.

Its a hardware problem, there is some info in this kernel mailing list archive.
