cpenal tool
 

I just know there is a program called cpenal , this is a GUI tool to manage the web hosting account , would advise in my enviornment , our web ( we have 5 web site ) and intranet are running on RH server , would advise if this tool suitable for us to use ? is this tool is designed for web hosting company not for the user who use it to control internal server ? thanks

That is a common tool offered by web hosting companies to their customers to manage web pages/email etc... Typically it is included with your service so you don't have to buy it separately. If you're managing your own web servers (i.e. not hosted by someone else) there really isn't a need for Cpanel as you can get far more control from command line.

"Manage my systems" is a little vague.

Are your systems servers that you login to directly? That is are they servers at your location or servers you own in a co-location facility or cloud? If so the tools you'd want o use are different than Cpanel (generally) which as I noted is usually the tool you get by default from hosting providers when you're paying for hosted web and/or email

There are many tools you can use to manage various servers and services if you're not using a hosting provider. Puppet and Webmin are a couple of common ones for various tasks.

You'd really have to defined WHAT you want to do before deciding what tools to use. If you only had two servers using something like Puppet might be overkill. If you're using 400 servers not using Puppet might kill you.

The CPanel interface would normally be provided by your hosting provider. There is another similar tool called Parallels which some hosting providers use.

I manage two websites, my own and one for an organization I'm a member of. One provider uses Cpanel; the other uses Parallels. Between the two, I find Cpanel a little easier to use.
