courier IMAP error
Im trying to log into squirrelmail but Im getting the error :
ERROR : Connection dropped by imap-server.
when checking my logs I have this:
/var/log/mail/info
Oct 19 12:40:16 www imapd: Connection, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1]
Oct 19 12:40:16 www imapd: LOGIN, user=ryedunn, ip=[::ffff:127.0.0.1], protocol=IMAP
Oct 19 12:40:16 www imapd: maildirmake: No such file or directory
Oct 19 12:40:16 www imapd: chown: cannot access `/home/501/Maildir': No such file or directory
any suggestions on what is going on?

What scheme are you using for authentication - local user accounts, xSQL database, LDAP?
Are you using any other tools like vpopmail?

Thank you for your reply. Trust me when I tell you that Im a total n00b with email servers. So Im just taking it one step at at time trying to keep it as simple as possible.
Currently I only have postfix and courier-imap installed. Im quite sure Im just using local user accounts for authentication, I would like to get into SQL / LDAP later but right now I just want to get things working.

I have found links which show people with similar problems, but they blame the problem to be a misconfiguration with procmail.
