couple newb questions
I just installed mandrake 10.0(i'll update later) and i wanted to know where i can get a system statistics program, a good linux media player, and how the hell to update to kde 3.3.

Well, sourceforge.net will have them all, just search, but here's a couple

The upgrade can vary between distros. I have no clue what tools are available to mandrake.

Assuming whatever file you are talking about is executable, go to the directory it is located in and type ./filename
It may help if you tell us what file
