Couldn't play .wav file!

i intended to using pronounceation of stardict function.i download WyabdcRealPeopleTTS.tar.bz2 from //stardict.sourceforge.net afterward upacked and copy to /usr/share/WyabdcRealPeopleTTS, stardict wasn't working, whatever, i though this stardict is so old of debian's, several icon doesn't have any reaction on stardict. whatevere, i was playing these .wav file with gnome-sound-recorder:
osscommon: Unable to open /dev/dsp (in use ?)
gnome-sound-properties, gnome sound events can pronounce voice properly.
gstreamer-properties, sometimes it's successful of test, most of time is no sound, i don't know gnome's sound system. ever installed esound this package, it has a daemon esd, then gnome-sound-properties choose "Enable sound server startup" other than before, everything becomed nicely, playing mp3/playing "gnome sound events" .wav file, except of playing .wav with other tools,i.e mpg321, gnome-sound-recorder. if esd now is working with /dev/dsp device, Couldn't others use it?

thanks everyone regards me.
