Question Could this Windows "trick" happen in Linux / Firefox ?

Hey all,

I found a very curious article: http://www.zdnet.com.au/blogs/securi...9259246,00.htm

The title is: "Windows shortcut "trick" remains unexplained.

Read the article. Then, for those of you who actually understand the inner workings of Linux and Open Source (not n00bs like me), answer this: How likely is something like that to happen on a Linux / Firefox (or Mozilla) combo?

Thanks.

hmmm.. me i don't know. it depends if the devs of firefox will allow such a dirty thing like that. quite impossible though. and also maybe if firefox gets a bug something like an overflow bug then that's possible

I tried it on a system running windows XP and the trick does not work with Firefox. Firefox tells you its an app and asks whether you want to save it or cancel.
