Could do with some help with JavaDC


hey i just want to know at the moment what i put in the host command like:

java DCMain <host> what do i put were host is?

i know this may seem like a dumb question but hey, i know it means a host of a system but what system!.

It's IP address or domain name or PC name of the target PC.

yes i know that much but to what? what needs to be at the end of the ip or domain?

its a file sharing program asfar as i know like DC++

I've never used that before.
But if it's file sharing program, it's possible that the <host> is the domain name of the service provider's server.

Or it can also be the targetted PC, if the program is peer to peer file transfer program.

okay i see know, but ive downloaded the jar for the GUI but carnt find away to start the GUI can you help?

That's application specific. Since I haven't use it before, I have no idea. Maybe you should check its documentation.
