Corrupt RPM database, maybe?
I'm using Fedora Core 1. Every time I try to run a tool that uses RPMs (yum, /bin/rpm...), it just hangs. No error messages, nothing. This installation is very new (four days, maybe), so I don't think I should be getting this kind of problem. Any ideas what might be wrong?

You might want to rebuild your RPM list. I've had this happen before in the past. I don't have the exact url but I do remember finding a fix for this on rpm.org's website..

Thanks a lot, that worked perfectly. Note to self: do not kill processes stupidly!
