corrupt ksystemtray

Hi

My SYSTEM TRAY applet in KDE 3.0 has gotten corrupted. Would anyone know which file to edit to ADD/REMOVE what gets loaded here? The only candidate I can find (/usr/share/apps/kicker/applets/ksystemtrayapplet.desktop) whew! aint the one. Just a little annoyance -- but nicer if it could be tidied up.

cheers

You could try renaming your .kde folder, log out then log back in, this will reset your desktop you can then copy what you need from the renamed .kde to the new one.

Thanks. That has me thinking. Problem is knowing which bit(s) NOT to copy back.

It might be easier for me to create a new desktop just as you suggest and put a clean system-tray on it, then rename THAT and restore all the original desktop. I would need to then copy just the fresh system-tray bits over the original -- a lot less work!. But I would still have to know which bits?

hmmm
