Correct ivtv version for Suse 10 2.6.13-15.8-smp kernel?

I'm having a very hard time getting a pvr350 working on OpenSuse 10.0 with the 2.6.13-15.8-smp kernel using the ivtv 0.4.4 driver and I'm beginning to suspect that it is because I chose the wrong ivtv driver version. Can anyone confirm this?

ivtv itself seems to work, can tune and output test.mpg but no tv apps can control the PVR350.
