Well, you can always fiddle around with the Wine configuration, but it's unlikely to help..launching Wine from a terminal and checking out the last messages before the installation ends could help (or then not). Are you tried just one version of Wine (because it's known that some versions run some programs, but other [even newer] versions might not)?
I haven't got a RAW image processing utility work with Wine though I've tried for a long time..the program is quite simple, came with my digital SLR and there's no well-enough "equivalent" on Linux for that, so it's kind of driving me nuts at times..but it's just a fact that Wine can't run everything.
