cool xmms

hi, i'm a newbie. i have seen a lot of screenshots on the net, and found many have a relatively special xmms skin (not typical 1, some even in round shape).

i downloaded some similar cool skins from 1001winampskins, but they are all ended with .wal extensions, which i have no idea how to apply it to my xmms after i've uncompressed them....

any helps are appreciated...

Maybe is this skin ment for WA 3.
I haven't heard that xmms supports WA 3 skins.
Correct me if im wrong :)
Try to use skins that are ment for WA 2.x.

You can run WA3 in WINE if you wanted to. It doesnt need any native DLLs.

ah, thanks.... now i have to install wine first...

Although you can use winamp with wine, XMMS has better sound, and its open source, also, its skins are not bad at all, you should use the ones for k-jofo, they work with xmms too and are much cooler than wa3.

A google search, is always your best friend!

I have K Jofol's plugin's installed right from Mandrake installation. To use them, right click on xmms, go down to visualization, then visualtization plug-ins, choose j kofol, and check enable.
