Cool Sidebar System Monitor - where?

I'm still new to Linux, and have been researching all sorts of things about it. One thing that is quite interesting to me is the idea of having a little graphical readout of my system specs when I'm in a KDE session... I keep seeing screenshots where someone has xmms, cpu usage, network usage, hd usage, etc. etc. in a slick little window in the corner of their screen...

Anyone have any suggestions of the slickest, most compact and efficient system monitor bar out there?

gkrellm is what your looking for.

You could either use a set of WindowMaker dockapps (like I do), or gkrellm.

Either karamba or Gkrellm.

Try both and see which you prefer.

Wow!

As usual, amazingly fast replies. I wasn't expecting 3 replies in 15 minutes, thought!

Thanks kindly all for the reference, and I'll start researching and post my opinion in a few days when I can get to try out a few of them.
