Question Converting Netsaint config to Nagios!

Hi All,

I wish to upgrade our company's Netsaint 0.0.7 release to Nagios 2.4.x Nagios is easy enough to install and get running, but what is the best/easiest way to convert the Netsaint config files over to the new template format?

Ive tried the convertcfg program, but it comes up with loads of errors on the pre-flight check to do with the services.. Seems as if it's not quite converting them properly. I think it was something to do with some hosts not having services, and some not having contact_groups set etc.

Anyone managed to convert from netsaint to nagios successfully? I dont fancy adding 500 hosts and 1000 services by hand!

In that case it's maybe scripting time? I don't know of any turn-key tools
out there that do what you need.

P.S.: Personally I find Nagios' configuration-file-chaos appalling ;} ...
Great tool once it's set-up, though.
