converting log file timestamps

I would like to be able to view my logs with unix timestamps in human readable format. I am assuming linux would have a command that I could run the file through and then less the output. Anyone know what it is. Thank you in advance.

Can you give us an idea of which log - and a couple of example entries as well as how you want it to look.

I would like the log to look the exact same, except that the numbers at the beginning and end of some lines that are timestamps would be displayed in any kind of readable date + time format. I could easily write a script to do this, I just figured that there was some tool with unix disotros that did this already.
