Converting AVi to MPG (Not jumpy!)

I'll admit it, I've become such a huge fan of Google Video that I finally decided to burn a "best of" DVD. Unfortunately, I'm having a little bit of trouble converting the videos. I've been using the guidelines provided by the following post:

[ CANNOT POST due to POST COUNT ]

And one of the videos in question is listed below:

[ ASIAN BACKSTREET BOYS ]

The strange thing is, whenever I open the video AVIDebux wants me to redo the keyframes. On most videos it works, but on the one above (and a few great others) I get nothing but a jumpy mess. Does anyone else know of any conversion tools that might fix the problem? Or maybe how to fix it AVIDemux?

Thanks in advance,

- dScener

I should have posted earlier, but I've found a solution! Thanks to a post from "ilikejam" I found out about the following command:

mencoder -oac lavc -ovc lavc -of mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd -vf scale=720:576,harddup -srate 48000 -af lavcresample=48000 -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video:vrc_buf_size=1835:vrc_maxrate=9800:vbitrate=9800:keyint=15:acodec=ac3:abitrate=384 :aspect=4/3 -ofps 25 -o video.mpg /path/to/file.avi

It's working great with Google Video avi's (totally in sync.) Because it's command line, I'll probably write a quick tool to do batch converting too.

Avidemux Video Jumpy

the video was jumpy in avidemmux until I went to tools --> Rebuild Frames ...I had to save the file as an avi and then convert it to VCD
