convert shell script to c code

I've only managed to find one program that will do this and it costs money

Does anybody know of any other program that can convert my shell script to c (or c++) code?

P.S. ccsh looks interesting but I don't like the fact that it is says it doesn't understand bash/ksh constructs and also says it "maybe" needs a runtime to execute code on systems other than the one it was compiled on. The latter implies they're putting something proprietary into the conversion just to make more money.
