convert prn to bmp fail

I would like to convert prn file to bmp. When I use a convert tool (imagemagick)

Code:
convert imgA.prn imgB.bmp
I get the following errors:
Code:
convert: no decode delegate for this image format `PRN' @ error/constitute.c/ReadImage/501.
convert: no images defined `imgB.bmp' @ error/convert.c/ConvertImageCommand/3210.
How to fix it ? Is such conversion possible ?

It depends on what generated the prn file.

A windows PRN file is the actual output converted to whatever language your printer uses i.e PCL, Postscript etc. If this is the case then how or if might depend on what type.

Ok, and is it possible to check which language is used in prn ? It is not clear for me how prn files are created. Does prn file contain for example PostScript commands ? My prn file contains some ASCII characters so maybe it is custom manufacturer format ?

If you do not know how the prn files were created then were did they come from or why do you want to convert them to an image file?
