Convert docs to postscript?

Hi
I have cups and no problem printing on my hp printer.
However, I have had quite a frustrating time faxing documents.
A document has to be in postscript format in order to fax.
How do I convert the following documents to postscript: odt, ods, doc, txt, pdf...

Any advice would help.

Thanks

Open the file in the respective application. Print it, and select generic postscript, with a destination to a file.

Hi
Thanks for the quick response.
However, with open office, none of my print options show print to generic postscript.
How do I set up OO so that it will print to post script? For that matter, how would I convert text documents to postscript?

I would appreciate your help.

Thanks

In Open Office, in the print dialog, select print to file and check output format postscript. You can open a text document in Open office as well.

Thanks a bunch! I got it!

Post script is not an option in the dialog box with the list of printers.

Instead click.....
File>Print>check "print to file" box>click OK >save the file as postscript.

I hope this will help others also.
