Convert .DOC into .PDF automatically

Hi,

I have a bunch of .DOC files that sit on my Red Hat 7.2 installation, and they are put there through a web form by users that post these files across England. The problem is I want to convert these files into .PDF every night automatically, and I don't want to install OpenOffice as the server already has a high load. Is there a small simple utility that will able me to do this, without transferring the files onto a windows machine, or opening emulator sessions etc?

I am not too keen on converting the files into .txt first either, as some of them have pictures.

Many thanks in advance!

Cheers,

I have just tried using wvPDF and when converting I get a lot of errors such as:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Underfull \hbox (badness 10000) in paragraph at lines 4759--4761
! LaTeX Error: Something's wrong--perhaps a missing \item.

...

l.4995 \begin{enumerate}~
[1.]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The program does actually create the PDF, but it does not replicate a lot of the formatting and it generally looks quite poor in terms of text spacing and paragraphing.

Anyone got any ideas? I had to install Latex amongst other libraries etc - could it be something to do with needing a different version.

Thanks in advance!
