Connection to DAAP music share refused (on Ubuntu Lucid)

After the latest updates to Ubuntu 10.04, Banshee 1.8 started to refuse to connect to a DAAP music share on the local network. It fails with
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: Connection refused
Whether the mt-daapd server has a password or not does not make a difference.

Update: false alarm just some wrong setting.
