Connection software?
I'm trying to connect an old P1 166 MMX with 32MB Ram to the internet but I can only get it to connect using KPPP. Now this would normally be alright but it takes 20 to 30 seconds to load and all that other KDE crap is opened. Is there a way to use KPPP without the GUI or is there another program that would be suitable? I have already tried wvdial and the ppp program in Slack.

How about using a 5X dialup service?
Unfortunately, it'll hurt your pocketbook. Sheng-Chieh |
You can also use kppp from another desktop other than KDE (such as enlightenment or xfce) that uses less memory.

thanks for that but I've managed to set it up to run straight from a pppd command.
