Connection reset by peer (S: vsftpd, C: gftp)

I have just deployed vsftp at my server.
And then I connected it via gftp and tried to upload files.
But soon after the gftp said ``150 Ok to send data."
I got the following error
``Error: Could not write to socket: Connection reset by peer
Disconnecting from site
Could not download /data/unixiso/FC-5-i386-disc1.iso from local filesystem
Error: Remote site local filesystem disconnected. Will reconnect in 30 seconds

Then I tried to upload files via the ``ftp" command.
After a few minutes of transfer, I also read that error.
Here is the log:
ftp> put IBM_recovery_DVD.tar.gz
local: IBM_recovery_DVD.tar.gz remote: IBM_recovery_DVD.tar.gz
200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV.
150 Ok to send data.
netout: Connection reset by peer
451 Failure writing to local file.

I have never encountered this problem before.
Can anyone here help me on how to solve the problem?
Is the problem due to the setting of my vsftp?
