Connecting Panasonic KX-TES824 with Asterisk

Hi all,

I am working in International trading company. We are using Panasonic
KX-TES824 PBX.

We want to use Asterisk (open Source PBX) with Panasonic KX-TES824. I want to know, Which kind of benefits Asterisk can provide? We want to connect computer with Panasonic KX-TES824. Computer will keep record of incoming and outgoing calls in MySQL or MS Access database. How computer take input ( about every incoming call, outgoing call )How it is possible?

Well for Call tracking you would setup asterisk to use a cdr or call detail record. Normally I setup asterisk to use a postgres or mysql database. As for asterisk It has alot of benefits. One being that you can create your own custom dial plans, and develop your own front end. There are too many to list. But Looking at the Panasonic that you are wanting to use I know asterisk can do the same thing.
