Connect to a MS Exchange Server?

As I know, Evolution could do such a job, but it's not free. Is there any software could connect to a MS exchange server as OutLook under linux?
Thank you!

Amumu,
it depends on what functionality you are looking for out of Exchange. If all you want is POP/SMTP then just make sure those services are working on Exchange, and any POP/SMTP mail client will work.

If you need contacts, calendar etc etc. then you need to look for a specific product. As yet, I've not been able to track anything down.

What functionality are you looking for?

Regards
Jo

Well, my company exchange server didn't open pop/smtp, I'm not sure what protocol they used, and in fact what I want to do is sending and receiving mails.

Thank you!

Exchange

Are you SURE that POP/SMTP doesn't work (i.e. have you tried?) By default I think they are both turned on (from memory, its a while since I played with Exchange).

If not, ask your IT people to open them up for you.

Regards
Jo

I'm sure, and I've tried that. I think maybe it's for security

Not sure...

I don't know of any products that can connect natively to Exchange Server. Maybe you could ask IT to turn POP and SMTP back on for you.

Cheers
Jo

Can you access your Exchange account using the Web Interface? if you can, then using the Ximian Connector you can have Evolution access your Exchange data. The Connector is available from the homepage but it does cost $69 US I think. But I also think there is a 30 day trial version if you wanted to see if it works for you.
