[ 1066.959529] hub 2-0:1.0: connect-debounce failed, port 5 disabled
Error driving me nuts keeps popping up when im trying to use the command line when i drop to shell. Does this mean one of my usb ports is messed? Ive tried resetting bios. I will gladly provide any more info you need. Thanks, Information I can give below: Output: uname -a Code:
Linux kaao-desktop 2.6.26-2-amd64 #1 SMP Tue Mar 9 22:29:32 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux |
Connect debounce? It is temporarily suspending the port on connect, expecting to find the new device stable when it reconnects, if I understand the jargon correctly.
Divide and conquer; does that device do that in any port, or only port 5? What happens if port 5 is left open? What happens if it has another device in port 5? Have you by any chance got a Via chipset lurking in that motherboard? |
sorry this took so long, been away at work. Anyway im assuming port 5 would be one of the front usbs nothings plugged in right now and its still doing it. Its possible theres a via chipset, its a asus board im pretty sure its a nvidia chipset though. Even if theres a way to turn off this friggen message everytime I drop to a shell it drives me friggen nuts.
