conflicting GLIBC version requirements

I just installed palemoon 27.9.3 slackware 14.2 package found at:

http://repo.khronosschoty.org/Slackw...on/14.2/pkg32/

Then I tried executing it then I checked my GLIBC version.

This is my output for executing palemoon:

bash-3.1# palemoon
palemoon: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.17' not found (required by palemoon)

And this is my output for GLIBC version:

bash-3.1# ldd --version
ldd (GNU libc) 2.7

Am I really 10 subversions behind even though I'm running Slackware 13? or is there something wrong with software?

You're even MORE behind, as the latest update to glibc for slackware 14.2 is version 2.23 (and for -current 2.29).

You just cannot expect a 14.2 package (like that Palemoon one) to run in the out-of-date and unsupported 13.x releases (which have been EOL since june last year).
From the ChangeLog
Code:
####################################################################
# NOTICE OF INPENDING EOL (END OF LIFE) FOR OLD SLACKWARE VERSIONS #
# #
# Effective July 5, 2018, security patches will no longer be #
# provided for the following versions of Slackware (which will all #
# be more than 7 years old at that time): #
# Slackware 13.0, Slackware 13.1, Slackware 13.37. #
# If you are still running these versions you should consider #
# migrating to a newer version (preferably as recent as possible). #
# Alternately, you may make arrangements to handle your own #
# security patches. #
####################################################################
(in fact the last patch was even a bit earlier: Tue Jun 19 22:35:25 UTC 2018)

BTW: Slackware 13.37 (the last 13.x version) was released in april 2011, so now more then 8 years ago.
