Configuring sendmail to return Vacation Messages

Hi all,

Im running a mail server on a Linux Red Hat version 8.0. Im wondering, how does one go about configuring sendmail to return vacation messages to a sender, telling him or her that the receiving party is away on a holiday or is off. The version of sendmail im using is V. 8.12.10. Is there some third party software that i must use?

As im new to Linux, I hope this messages does not sound ridiculous to any of you.

There is a program called 'vacation' which is supposed to come with sendmail (but I can't see it on my system). Here is the web page:
