Configuring pulseaudio to play sound on both a linux and windows box

Hi,
I've currently been struggling with configuring pulseaudio to play sounds on both my windows box and my linux box with the sound originating on my linux box. I was able to set it up to play a sound on the linux box and hear it on the windows box by creating the default.pa file on the windows box. However, in order to test for any sync issues over the network, I would also like to set up a sound output on my linux box to hear if there is any audible delay. I have been trying to use module-combine to add the waveout and alsa outputs together on the linux end, however I have not been able to get this to work. The only other option I can see at the moment is to set up module-tunnel, however this seems like a messy way to go about it and I have a feeling it will introduce some sync issues.

Here is a copy of the default.pa file on the windows end:

load-module module-native-protocol-tcp listen=0.0.0.0 auth-anonymous=1
load-module module-waveout

Any assistance would be greatly apprecicated :)

Youo don't say whether you are using the KDE or Gnome desktop. If it's KDE, open your KDE Control Centre (kcontrol via commandline).

Go to Sound & Multimedia--> System Sound and enable networked sound. Test to see if it worked.
