Question configuring ldaps in alpine

I'm trying to configure alpine to work with the ldaps server of my organisation. But the following configuration doesn't work ('cc' means country code):

ldap-server -> localhost
search-base -> dc=employer,dc=cc
port -> 936
nickname ->

I think something is wrong with ssl, but I'm not sure. I'm using Mandriva 2008 with openssl-0.9.8g and alpine-1.00. Does anybody have any ideas ?

Not without a description of the actual problem. "Something
is wrong" doesn't tell anyone much in terms of assessing the
problem you may be facing.

Looks like you need stunnel to integrate secure ldap with alpine...
