Configure sendmail server so that it spool mail with in 1 seconds

I have written one C program to transfer a mail to sendmail server. If ethernet connection is not there then send mail is taking 10 seconds to spool the mail. By the time my process is blocked Is there is any configuration exists for sendmail that it is spooled with in 1 seconds.

Basically what you've done is written an application that effectively Dosses the MSA. You do not want to fix the cause but the symptoms. Maximising performance means evaluating (and not or) HW specs, OS, chosen MTA/MSA and options.
