Configure bind in FC2

I have recently installed Fedora core 2. I'm having trouble having DNS working. FC2 comes with bind-9.2.3-13. I have been using bind-9.2.0-8 on rh7.3 with no problem. Somehow in this, the configuration is not getting saved. has anyone had trouble with this? Help appreciated.
