Before I start I am a

soo this might be a really stupid question. I was trying to re-install mandrake 10.0 on my old Dell XPS T500, on which I have run Mandrake for the last 2 years, but when I go to boot it freezes after saying 'booting Linux'. I think it might be a 4gb hard drive I installed to use as a swap space, but I have done this before. I had tried many times to re-install Mandrake but nothing worked, I even switched from lilo to Grub to see if the bootloader was the problem, but it wasn't. Would taking the 4gb HD out solve my problem

? Thanks in advance.
