dont be ...... if you have an option to live in the free world with all effects ? try fixing it ... dont give up so early .....

i remember i took 3 weeks to fix this issue when i had .


are you able to see window decorator ? can you send a screenshot or something ?

okay. Since you are so helpful, I won't disappoint you.

I read http://wiki.opencompositing.org/Plugins/Decoration
and type
"emerald" and voila !! compiz worked like a dream.
The title plus all those minimize,maximize,close buttons appeared and worked.

The challenge now is to figre out how to put
the long command of "LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1 INTEL_BATCH=1 compiz --replace --sm-disable --ignore-desktop-hints ccp &" plus "emerald"
in the auto-start setup. I have not got an idea.

Oh so you were using emerald ....

where you able to use the emerald --replace command successfully ?

Don't know what you mean. I just type "emerald" and it works.
Why would I want "emerald --replace" ? You may want to provide a little of motivation for me to try. Thanks!

so .. what might have happend is when you typed emerald, emarald might have replaced the windows decorator with . Thats cool ... so i think your problem is some what solved ... and again you might want to give them in startup ... i am not very sure of how to do that ....
