Compiling XMMS plugin for GAIM

Anybody has any luck compiling the xmmscurrsong.c (XMMS plugin for GAIM) on latest Gaim 0.71 and above? I had it working for Gaim 0.70, but it seems some of the function calls in Gaim 0.71 has been totally changed and it is not possible to get xmmscurrsong.c to compile and work anymore. Any other XMMS plugin for GAIM which I should try with GAIM 0.71 and above? TIA.

I've got the same problem my friend, two have recently crapped out on me, GAIM-XMMS and xmmscurrsong.c, the only other one I am aware of is xmmsinfo although I haven't gotten it to work yet. You need to intsall a program called XMMS-InfoPipe and whenever I try and build the perl script I get this error:

Despite the fact that I have a clean installation of Perl 5.8.0 that came with Slack, which I haven't touched. I don't know why it doesn't work but maybe give that one a shot. If you get it working tell me what ya did.
