Compiling X11 6.9.0 Without Joystick

How can I do it? I neither want nor need joystick functions, and I get the following when compiling:
In file included from xf86Ur-98.c:12:
/usr/include/linux/joystick.h:131: error: syntax error before "__s64"
/usr/include/linux/joystick.h:135: error: syntax error before '}' token

This is just a guess, but it's worth a try. Within the xc directory, run these commands
sed -i '/CONFIG_H/i #include <linux/types.h>' programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/input/ur98/xf86Ur-98.c
