Compiling Wine

I'm using Conectiva 8.0, i've tried using both Wineinstall and ../configure, i always get this:

Running configure...

loading cache ./config.cache
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... no
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables.

Do you have gcc and automake installed?
If you do then delete config.cache and run configure again.
If you don't you need to install them, then delete config.cache and run configure again.
