Compiling Squid

I'm running Fedora Core 2 x86_64bit, and squid-2.5sable5-x86_64, now i want to recompile my squid to enable functions, and also i want to use the latest version. I already downloaded the latest squid-2.5stable7.tar.gz, my question now is, if i recompile this version of squid on my x86_64 Fedora core 2 is it automatically recompile to a squid 64 bit ?

Any information will surely helps, Thank you very much,

Wennie

Hello,

Your compiler is for 64 bits so you'll compile 64 bits applications unless you specify your compiler to do cross-compilation
