I have the downloaded folder in my home directory

I open a console as root, CD to the directory and type in ./configure
I then get the folloxing output

Code:

[root@toto kdewebdev-3.3-be2]# ./config
bash: ./config: No such file or directory
[root@toto kdewebdev-3.3-be2]# ./configure

I see a bunch of errors in there but am not too sure what they are ..
if i proceed to type in make iget this :

If I then type in make I get

Code:

[root@toto kdewebdev-3.3-be2]# make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found.  Stop.

I have also tried doing this with the Kommander Installer but it doesnt work also

I dont have much idea here and if somebody can see what I am doing wrong I would appreciate it

thanks:confused:

Use the Mandrake Control Centre to install gcc++ off your CD's

Hi
This is quanta 3.3 B-E so its not available as an rpm its a downloaded tar fille so I have to compile it .

does the mandrake controle center do this ?

You need to pop in your distro cd's and install development tools for your gui (gnome or kde) and install GCC and all the libs for it, not sure how to do this in mandrake but if its like fedora w/kde, you'll find "add/remove programs" under 'system settings' ...
