Compiling Murrine on Centos 5

I`m trying to compile the latest Murrine on Centos, to have some kind of recent GUI, but I`m having some issues compiling it, it`s complaining about intltool being too old .

checking for intltool >= 0.37.1... 0.35.0 found
configure: error: Your intltool is too old. You need intltool 0.37.1 or later.
No problem, I`ve downloaded the new tarball for intltool and installed it into my home directory

Now, when I try to compile Murrine, it's still complaining about not find a recent intltool, I understand that I didn`t tell ./configure where the new intltool is, but I don`t know how to do that. Is there a way to tell configure to look for the intltool package in my home directory instead of /usr/bin ( I don`t have the privileges to install there ) .

thanks !

Assuming you've installed the new intltool in /home/<YOU>/bin, execute this before the configure script.
export PATH="/home/<YOU>/bin:$PATH"
That should cause the configure script to find the intltool-update script from the latest version you installed rather than the one in /usr/bin. You may also want to add that to line to your .bashrc and/or .bash_profile if you plan to install other packages in /home/<YOU>/bin.
