compiling mod_mono

I am running Fedora Core 2 with apache 2.0.49. I am trying to to compile mod_mono. when I run ./configure the last line of output is

configure: error: **** apxs was not found, DSO compilation will not be available

I installed apache using the Fedora Core 2 installation . So I am guessing maybe the installation did not install the apxs software. Using Add / Remove applications I did not see an options to add apxs, so I assume it was not an option as part of the orgial installation (clean install, not an upgrade). I also searched the hard drive and did not find it.

Does any one have any idea how to install just the apxs portion of apache. I did find a posting that said apache needs to be uninstalled - then re-installed. that seems so drastic.

Any ideas ?

Finally figured it out (can ya tell I am new to appache !!!). apxs is installed with httpd-devel-2.0.52-3.i386.rpm, that required a collection of other tools to be installed.
