compiling in kdevelop

hi,

I am new to Kdevelop. Presently i am working on a big code that has many files to be linked with. I have used the makefile in the command line. But, in Kdevelop, there ae tools like autoconfig and automake. Though this works, it takes miserrably more time to finish the process. As i need to include and delete the files often, almost half of my time is spent in running autoconfig. Is there a way to surpass this?

Regards,
Shyam Sundar
