Question Compiling Apache2 with PHP 4.2

Hi all

Has anybody successfully compile Apache2 and PHP 4.2 successfully?
I manage to compile them but apache keep dying after start or restart.

I have compiled php with the option
--with-apxs2=/path/to/apxs

libphp4.so was added into httpd.conf.

It is only after I removed the libphp4.so line did apache start working again.

Any ideas?

I posted a poll who has tried apache 2.0, and almost no feedback
(I wonder why they make new version if nobody is using it)

It is kind of unclear to me, if apache 2.0.36 is meant to be a stable release or is it development version

PHP 4.3 and Apache 2.0

I succesfully compiled a server with both this weekend.
The link below has the best instructions I could find.

If you happen to know how to compile the dynamic extensions/modules, please give me a shout since I can't figure that out (I need OCI functions)

You didn't literally type that did you? It's supposed to be:
--with-apxs2=/usr/sbin/apxs

according to where apxs is on your box...
