compile php with ldap

hi
i have setup phpldapadmin on my centos machine

i have open ldap client.

when i run phpinfo.php it does not show me that the php is compiled with the ldap support

so the problem is when i run phpldapadmin in web browser it says

Missing required extension
Your install of PHP appears to be missing LDAP support.

Please install LDAP support before using phpLDAPadmin.
(Dont forget to restart your web server afterwards)

kindly help

thanks

If you have installed php using your distro's package manager, then you need to install the php-ldap package.
If you have compiled php from source you need the "--with-ldap" option in your ./configure script

Regards

If you don't use yum to install packages, use this site search for php-ldap for your distro. After downloading the correct package run:
Code:
rpm -ivh php-version-x.y.z
