compile errors.

Hi,

Im currently using GenToo linux as my distribution and while trying to emerge fluxbox i receive this error in which im not sure how to fix. I have noticed of course theres a path that it shouldnt be pointing to via '/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu' I only have /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu' Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

The instlallation of imlib2, a dependency, failed. I noticed that the version that errors out is less than that in Portage. Emerge sync and then try again.

Look here

http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t...entdie+94.html

and here

http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t...enmentdie.html

and possibly here

argh..

Well i tried what you said and emerge --sync portage but to no luck. I really doubt sync portage is the program here because the errors states its looking for a particular directory. And that directory doesnt exists. Any ideas?

Go to the gentoo forums and search for the error there first. I have been on it two years and have never had to ask a question because their discussions have led me in the right directions.

Go HERE: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-318790.html

You're going to need to use the fix_libtool_files.sh to correspond with your version of gcc and by the way, it's a file libstdc++.la .
