Compaq Organize

I have XP that came with my computer. It is a Compaq Computer. What I would like to know is if anyone is familiar with Comap Organize v1.2? If you are and know what I am talking about is there a linux version or clone of this program? I really like it and would love to use it in Linux.

Yeah google didn't show me much either. Basically it is a large windows with several boxes that have eaither local links to files/folderrs or programs and links you can have that go to the web. There is a video/audio/picture slideshow on the top middle. It also has a small handfull of skins.

A lot of that I can just do with html code but I like the way this is set up. All I need to do is just add a link to whatever in a couple of easy steps. With and HTML file I would have to edit it each time..

Thanks.

LOL, yep. It does take up a lot of memory but it is nice having one big window broken down into smaller sections for quick access. I like that better then having just icons on a desktop. I am guessing that Linux and BSD, if there is a program like that, would take up far less resources then Windows does. Even if I could find something that was similiar I could do without the media player.

I suppose I could set up a few tool bars but it wouldn't be the same.

I'll do some searching. It sounds very interesting.

For the media player, you could use an applet. I know that you can put one right in the KDE panel. I kinda wish there was one for xfce (,though I don't know that I'd actually use it).

Thanks. I am going to keep looking to. I know Fire fox has Foxy tunes and I might be able to set somthing up with that but again it will lack. Though I wonder if Firefox had any other kind of extensions that are simliar to what I am looking for. I'll have to check and see.
