Command line Full Screen

I am running Mandrake 9.1 on a sony vaio.I was just wonding how to chane the startup and commandline modes from using only 800x600(thats my estimate of what its using) of my 1024x768 display. This is not a huge deal or anything but in other distro's I have noticed it launchs full screen. The Graphical enviorment seems to have no problems using all the display so I would assume the c/l would not either.
Thanks

search for the 'vga=' option that you can pass to your bootloader.

You will find all the modes here: http://www.digitalhermit.com/linux/hiresconsole.html

Then, edit your grub/lilo config file and add the vga= line, if you don't already have it.

Example, vga=791
