command ./configure newb help


Hello i am new to using linux., so bare with me.
when i go into my console and i try to extract i come a across seemly simple problem to fix. please tell me what im doing wrong

brian@linux:/usr/local/src/firefox-installer> ./configure
bash: ./configure: No such file or directory
brian@linux:/usr/local/src/firefox-installer>

why wont it let me configure?

i appreciate the help. and sorry for the inconvince

I think what you should be doing is

./firefox-installer

As I think its already compiled.

oh alright thanks, i was just really using that one as an example. im trying to get my wireless card working (dwl g630) i saw a post somewhere around here that said i need ndiswrapper so i am trying to get that running. would i do the same thing?

No you need to compile ndiswrapper against your kernel-source, What distro are you using?

and my kde is ver 3.2, i am installing ndiswrapper 0.12 i have it extracted but now i dont know where to go from there

This NDiswrapper for Suse 9.1 webpage should help.
