College Linux: it won't load

Help!!! I just downloaded a college linux iso and tried to install it. The install went fine...... or so it seemed. I had a slight prblem with the LILO configuring, but I reinstalled it and got it to recognize the Kernel path. So long story short, according to all knowledge it should have worked, but at the end it came up with the error:

error loading operating system

I am using College Linux v2.5. I believe it's called the obi-wan version, but that's not important. collegelinux.org is no longer working. I'm not sure of the Kernel version either.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's driving me insane.

This distribution appears to have been discontinued a couple of years ago http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=college. It appears to use kernel 2.4.23, so it might not load on newer hardware. Distrowatch says it's based on Slackware, so you could always install slackware.

Otherwise, may I suggest you take the quizes in my signature to help you pick a newer linux distro?

I thought it was discontinued. Slackware is next on my list. Thanks. I will take that quiz. I got an older system at home too, so I'll see if it works on that. Thanks again!!
