.mpg and .mpeg should normally run with windows media player - surely it would do that for .avi's as well. and I'm guessing there, but the .rms file extension that you alluded too, is gonna be a real player sercure file. so you'd have to have realplayer installed. I don't think you'll find any single player that will play all those file types - unless one of the linux media players has been ported to windows - because then, at least, you might find the add on packages to make it play all of the media types regards John p.s. this question is about windows, so should really be in general, not software, which is for linux software questions (this site, is afterall, "Linux Questions"). |

Try MPlayer for Windows or VLC Player for Windows. Both are good players with support for a lot of file formats (I think MPlayer has more file format supports playing almost everything). VLC is your bet if you are looking for a GUI. But if you a ready to experience the power of command-line nothing will beat MPlayer, not even in Windows. It's blazing fast and easy to handle though keyboard. I made several my Windows only friends use it as the default open with option in Windows. They are very happy with it. There are 3rd party projects which provide MPlayer with a GUI, too. |
